Land theft and unauthorized boundary alterations are major issues in both rural and urban areas. Traditional land beacons—physical markers like stones, poles, or concrete pillars—are easily moved, damaged, or replaced without detection. This leads to:
- illegal land grabs by encroachers.
-Costly legal battles due to lack of evidence.
- Delayed detection (owners often realize too late).
Existing solutions like manual inspections, CCTV, or satellite monitoring are expensive, slow, or impractical for remote locations.
While sufficient solutions are yet to be put in place to remedy the situation, here comes the the cost effective Smart land beacon device.

This low-power, solar-powered IoT device detects tampering and alerts landowners in real time via WhatsApp. Unlike complex cloud-based systems, it operates independently with an on-device web interface for configuration, reducing costs and dependency on external servers.

Working Principles:
????How It Works
1. On-Device Web Interface (No Cloud Dashboard)
- Users connect to the ESP32’s local Wi-Fi hotspot (or integrate with existing networks).
- A simple web page allows configuration of:
- Vibration sensitivity (adjust threshold for false alarms).
- GPS geofence radius (how far the beacon can move before alerting).
- WhatsBot API key & recipient numberb(where alerts are sent).
- System password (to prevent unauthorized changes).
2. Tamper Detection & GPS Tracking
-User stores the current location of where it's being deployed through a push button
- If someone hits, moves, or tries to uproot the beacon:
- The vibration sensor triggers an event
- The system checks if movement exceeds the pre-set threshold (configurable via the web interface).
2. Real-Time WhatsApp Alerts
- When tampering is detected, the ESP32 sends an alert via WhatsApp Bot API
- Example alert:
